[Samba] windbindd / AD / DNS Updates

different  question:

is there a (nonzero possibility, that an vendor provided samba ( SLES11 SP1 )
could try to trigger DNS Updates, in spite of the  server role cited below:

testparm 
Load smb config files from /etc/samba//smb.conf
Server role: ROLE_DOMAIN_MEMBER

even if no DNS related config is done, and thus
/etc/resolv.conf configuration is the used method

Or can this possibility  completely be rejected and i talk nonsense ?
