I have a konica printer (at IP 10.1.1.28 below) that is broken from samba 3.5.11 to 3.6.6 (in debian-derived Knoppix, from DVD 6.7.1 to DVD 7.0.4). The printer is configured in the following command line sequence:
lpadmin -p konica -v smb://10.1.1.28/C552 -P /usr/share/ppd/Driver-konica-C552/CUPS1.2/English/KOC652UX.ppd
In samba 3.6.6 (with cups 1.5.3), the printer is initially configured OK. The first print job (via 'lp') however incurs an error (recorded in /var/log/cups/error_log): Error writing spool: NT_STATUS_INVALID_NETWORK_RESPONSE and the printing on the printer becomes disabled thereafter (though the queuing remains enabled, as reported by 'lpc' status).
Please advise on solutions to this problem. Thanks in advance.
This is an linux system: kernel 3.4.9-64 #32 SMP PREEMPT Fri Aug 17 03:19:19 CEST 2012, x86_64 GNU/Linux
