Hello! Sorry if already discussed, but I can't find.
I have two shares pointing to one directory on server. One of this ([share]) shares in read only. If I open file on this share it appears in smbstatus -L output like
28303 1001 DENY_WRITE 0x20089 RDONLY NONE /path TST/Документ Microsoft Word.doc Mon Mar 26 15:11:10 2012
Then if I try to open this file from second share ([share-rw]), I have read only access.
Is this normal behavior for samba to set DENY_WRITE on read only share? Is it possible to change it?
I use following configuration:
[global]
