[Samba] UID/GID mapping consistency across at least two Linux machines

something strange is happening. It's not working at all. Just the same ID's
as before

I tried the old config and newer.

   idmap backend = rid:DOMAIN=4000-20000
   idmap uid = 4000-20000
   idmap gid = 4000-20000

(changed from 2000 to 4000)

Also tried to use:
   idmap alloc backend = rid

I removed all the caches and tdb files in /var/lib/samba and in
/var/cache/samba

restarted daemons many times Oo

uid/gids are the same.

My version is SAMBA 3.5.11

Any idea?
