Are you trying to join Win7 clients to a samba domain?
If so did you change the appropriate registry keys:
[HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters]
"DomainCompatibilityMode"=dword:00000001
"DNSNameResolutionRequired"=dword:00000000
