No, I didn't.  Nor can I because of the impact it would have on a number of different issues that are unchangeable/written in stone.

A key item I have to keep remembering is that all of this works great in Windows 2000.  It's only XP that's having the problem.

Did you ever correct the underscore in the hostname issue and then test?
