Hi, first of all sorry for taking to answer, I think I explained myself
badly, my scenario is the following, a number of servers with Windows
2000 operating
system by domain controllers, these servers are not native if coming from NT
4 system for which there REALM as we know, the domain consists solely of a
name and no extension, when migrating from NT to 2000 and kept that
nomenclature when migrating to Samba 4 does not was capable of. To this day I
do (using virtual machines) is to move from windows 2000 "physical" to a
virtual machine, thus making the migration of accounts, roles, etc.. leaving
a windows 2003 domain with extension (domain.local) and then passed it on to
samba 4 (talking fast) respecting the condition that I got is that the
network would not suffer by the change (I had not touching any client it or
by profiles or anything) so that the stage was to move from a domain
controller windows 2000 domain with no extension to samba 4 and this is
possible because I have it in production (and is much better than Windows
2000, it is also true that the hardware is new, but the bill before Windows
2000 license server terminal and amounted to € 264,944 that is not small.
Regards.
