It seems that Samba in this version is sensitive to local characters in passwd or tdb files (swedish in this case). In Samba 3.2.5 this wasn't an issue AFAIK.

Extract from client log:

[2010/10/17 19:20:22.288095, 3] lib/charcnv.c:279(convert_string_internal)
convert_string_internal: Conversion error: Illegal multibyte sequence(ödda 2000 klass a)
[2010/10/17 19:20:22.288110, 1] ../librpc/ndr/ndr.c:421(ndr_push_error)
  ndr_push_error(5): Bad character conversion
[2010/10/17 19:20:22.288122, 0] rpc_server/srv_pipe.c:2438(api_rpcTNP)
  api_rpcTNP: \netlogon: NETR_LOGONSAMLOGON failed.

How can I work around this? It would be a bit tedious to clean every account from our local characters.
