You should clarify the question-

You can, at least in theory, compile any version of Samba to run on Solaris
9.    So the question really would be which versions of Samba are compatible
with which versions of Windows?     And even which versions of Windows are
compatible with other versions of Windows.   Samba aside, I can't see any
reason WFW or even NT4 should be used in a production environment.

Wow... I did not know CP/M was even networked. Those
memories go back *very* far, one thing I think I remember is
that the copy command was called PIP?
