[Samba] "unix extensions = on" is incompatible with Mac OS X Finder

There's a known incompatibility issue between Mac OS X Finder and "unix extensions" in Samba, Finder ignores the POSIX ACLs if the extensions are turned on (no problem with the command line interface of Mac), the only working solution I've seen so far is turning the extensions off but that causes problems to other Samba clients particularly Linux ones that need to create symlinks.

Anyone is aware of a better solution for this problem?
