[Samba] samba password check (Bartlett, Vernooij)

Hallo,

in "/usr/doc/samba-3.2.13/examples/auth/crackcheck" (and surely other  
samba versions) I find a C program for checking the qualitiy of a  
password. The authors may be Andrew Bartlett (2001) and Jelmer Vernooij  
(2003).

The routine asks for a password dictionary.

Who knows what format is needed for this dictionary? Can I use  
dictionaries from similar password checkers?
