[Samba] smbpasswd: where's the file of password?

Hi all :-)
I compiled samba on my debian stable (all bin are in /usr/local/samba/bin/), 
smbpasswd too. I use it but I don't see the smbpasswd password file. Where 
smbpasswd update own file of passwords?
