Hello,

I'm in the progress of setting up clustered samba with ctdb. Samba is
ADS-member server. WINS server is configured on two of our 2003-servers.
When samba runs for a couple of hours I checked the WINS servers and saw
that samba/nmbd registrred only the private interface addresses
(192.168.1.x) and not the public interfaces (10.0.0.41,42). According to
obnox' ctdb-papers the use of 'bind interfaces' or 'interfaces only' is
a nono.

smb.conf:

[global]
        clustering = yes
        include = registry
        unix charset = UTF8
        workgroup = RENZEL
        realm = RENZEL.DE.ISB
        netbios name = DSCL01
        server string = Renzel AD-Cluster
        security = ADS
        password server = 10.0.0.43
        #passdb backend = tdb2
        log level = 3
        log file = /var/log/samba/log.%m
        socket options = SO_SNDBUF=8192
        ctdbd socket = /tmp/ctdb.socket
        load printers = No
        show add printer wizard = No
        wins server = 10.0.0.43, 10.0.0.45
        registry shares = Yes
        idmap backend = hash
        idmap uid = 10000-20000
        idmap gid = 10000-20000
        template homedir = /samba/homes/%U
        template shell = /bin/bash
        winbind enum users = Yes
        winbind enum groups = Yes
        winbind nss info = hash
        winbind offline logon = Yes
        winbind normalize names = Yes
        fileid:algorithm = fsname
        idmap_hash:name_map = /etc/samba/name_map.cfg
        map acl inherit = Yes
        posix locking = No
	local master = no

Cheers

Matthias
