[Samba] Question About Samba version 3.0.28-1.e15_2.1

I can't open a file (on our samba server) using Software called Actis,

 

When I troubleshoot the problem using Wireshark, I saw SMB protocol
using FIND_FIRST2 and filename using obscure Windows metacharacters,
e.g.

 

USAARG03V>>A.SWK

 

Which gives STATUS_NO_SUCH_FILE (Samba is interpreting the name
literally)

 

On the other hand, if the files are copied to a local drive Actis can
find them and open these files. But I couldn't open these files directly
from our Samba server.

 

What should I do to fix the problem??
