[Samba] Opening "Printers and Faxes" crashes explorer.exe on Vista x64

Hello everyone,
First time on this list, because I can't seem to find anything about my
problem. I hope someone here will be able to help me.
I have a file and print server running an old Ubuntu 7.04 x86 and Samba
3.0.2.4 that came with it. (I tried upgrading samba once, but it kept
crashing, so I went back to this default version, because it works very
well.)
The problem is, as the title suggests: if the clients (running Vista
Business x64, but there's a W2K one, too) try to open the "Printers and
Faxes" share on the server in explorer, it crashes immediately, then
restarts. Event log says, the problem causing the crash is in the
ntlanman.dll. After it crashes and restarts, it doesn't even open the
network computers list either, it crashes again until a reboot.
During this, all shares keep working fine, printing works fine too, etc.
I tried different ntlm/v2/lanman authentications, encrypting passwords,
disabling the "all printers" and the print$ sections, whatever came to
my mind, but nothing helped.
Or was this a bug in that old samba version?
Any help is much appreciated. If you need smb.conf or anything, just tell.
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Janos
