[Samba] Windows machines (WINXP, WIN2K) can/will not join domain

hi,

don't know which distribution you use. Is winbind an extra service to
restart? If so, you must also restart winbind .
Then check if the kdc resolveable with:

ping kdc.my.domain

and check if the kdc has a PTR (reverse dns) record.
if this not work, please post /etc/krb5.conf
