[Samba] Windows machines (WINXP, WIN2K) can/will not join domain

hi,
are you sure, that those lines are in /etc/nsswitch.conf

hosts:          files dns
networks:       files dns

otherwise ping and co. (gethostbyname) don't resolve over dns.
