[Samba] Samba not closing connection

Can you try "kernel change notify = no"? If that helps, you
have got a broken kernel, there have been versions of the
Linux kernel that show that behaviour.

If that does not help, can you do an "strace -p <pid>" on
one of those processes to see what they do?
