[Samba] No protocol supported

OK, the problem, as usual, was between the keyboard and the monitor.....

Way back when I was troubleshooting a really misbehaved windows app on
kahn, and I put

max protocol = LANMAN2

into the smb.conf file.

I've removed the line and I can mount shares....
