[Samba] Trouble with getting Samba to connect

Hi
I am new the Samba...................
I would like to connect my Linux box (Powerc) to my windows box (MEGAN).
Here is my smbclient
root at Powerc:~# smbclient -L localhost -U%

I have nmbd and smbd running

But the problem is the don't see each other in Window XP I try and map M:\\Powerc\home to no avail.
Please help me..............
