[Samba] Can't print until printing locally

I have configured Samba and everything is almost working fine. The only 
problem is, when I first boot the server, I can't print anything. I 
first have to print a page locally on the server before I can print 
remotely. The printer is an HP DeskJet using CUPS. Is there any way to 
get the printer working right away after boot so I don't have to print 
an empty page every time? Thanks.
