Bramsi, For me, problems of this kind went away entirely after upgrading to Samba 3.0.24 on the PDC. If you do so on Debian you'll have to copy manually a new version of samba.schema from package samba-doc and change an index line or two in slapd.conf as described in http://us4.samba.org/samba/history/samba-3.0.24.html.
