I had no trouble compiling TP1 some time ago.
Now TP3 ./configure ends abruptly with:-
Using shared libraries: no (not supported on this system)
in Fedora-6, Ubuntu-6, Mandrake-2007 and Zenwalk, all with full
development packages installed.
What does it mean?
