Dear sirs,

I am running redhat 8, kernal 2.4.20-28.8smp...I can mount my PC easily
enough, but I want to access a plugin USB drive..so I try to mount that
but on the USB the disc files are very large
 e.g.

48 Gb

(it is a plugin USB...400 GB)

which mounts itself on the PC to the F:

i use the simple command on the linux side

 smbmount "//mozart/f /icy" username=mozart\paul

and I get a mount ...hurragh

but a simple 'df' seems ok, but the file size list is wrong, and I can access
the files, but not to thier full extent...i.e. it reads at the start at the
file then looses the plot...but does not crash just goes on and on....

i.e.
'df'
//mozart/disk1_(F)    373G  372G  1.5G 100% /icy

and a 'll'
[root at reformat01 grog]# ll /icy
total 15033091789

please can anybody suggest why I cant mount the files and see/use the files
easily.

Thanks in advance

Grog
