[Samba] Samba PDC on Gentoo Linux, missing ldapsam.so

Hello, 
I am trying to setup a Gentoo linux samba server as a PDC and I am stuck
at trying to start samba. I keep getting an error in the log.smbd
Saying that ldapsam.so is missing. I have compiled samba 3.0.23c with
ldap support but this module does not get created. Nor can I find the
samba.schema file anywhere.

Would these be issues with the ebuild that is used to emere samba on
gentoo? Or am I not doing something right?
