[Samba] Owner changes when modifying Excel & Word files

Those settings would definitely work, but not unless you had a share defined for each group.  If that is the case, then it would work just fine.  Another potential option is to use default ACLs.  

My original comments were merely to point out that this is exactly the way Samba was supposed to work.
