Dear all,
Hi. I'm a Samba user from Taiwan. I'm running Samba 3.0.23,
Debian GNU/Linux 3.1r2, Linux kernel 2.6.16.14, gcc 3.4.4. I encounter
the following strange message when using smbmount:
imacat at rinse ~/tmp % smbmount //cotton/share ~/tmp/cotton
added interface ip=192.168.0.1 bcast=192.168.0.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
Got a positive name query response from 127.0.0.1 ( 192.168.0.2 )
Password:
namecache_shutdown: Couldn't close namecache on top of gencache.
imacat at rinse ~/tmp %
The target is running M$ Windows XP Professional. I looked into the
mount directory. It seems that mounting is OK. It appear in the df
list, too. But I still don't understand what this warning message means
and how I can get rid of it. Cound anybody give me a hint? Thank you.
