I'am using the following SAMBA version on a DEBIAN SARGE: 3.0.14a-3sarge1.
Well I add this instructions: acl check permissions = no but When I launch a "testparm", the result is:
Unknown parameter encountered: "acl check permissions"
Ignoring unknown parameter "acl check permissions"

I install SAMBA with apt-get! Do I need to download source and configure it with acls support?

For information:

[...]
#### Debugging/Accounting ####
log file = /var/log/samba/log.%m
log level = 3
max log size = 1000
syslog = 0
panic action = /usr/share/samba/panic-action %d

[...]

[netlogon]
comment = Network Logon Service
path = /home/samba/netlogon
browseable = No
guest ok = yes

And :

# ls -al /home/samba/
total 8
drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 36 2005-12-22 13:27 .
drwxr-xr-x 48 root root 4096 2006-01-25 14:08 ..
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2006-02-22 10:18 netlogon

# ls -al /home/samba/netlogon/
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 262144 2006-01-25 11:33 NTConfig.POL
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 176 2005-12-23 10:26 smbuser01.bat
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 176 2005-12-23 10:26 smbuser02.bat
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 182 2005-12-23 10:27 smbuser03.bat
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 182 2005-12-23 10:27 smbuser04.bat

And no error appears on the log!
Have you got an idea?

Mike
