[Samba] 3.0.20 -> 3.0.23 SID/group error?? Won't connect.

Jerry,

    I went back and compiled 23a from source on my Mandriva 2005le box at
work. I have now confirmed on the Mandriva box that 23a works great!, 23b
give me the problems described above.
