I have nearly the same question. My Problem is, I am running my samba
server in a virtual xen domain which is running on a rootnfs filesystem.
And the locking files should not reside on a nfs file system. :-(

Now I am thinking about putting the lock files on a tmpfs ramdisk but I
don't know which files have to be backed up and which not.

Or does anybody has another solution for the locking files?

What about the tdb files in the private directory? Do these files also
have problems with nfs?

Thanks in advance

Florian
