[Samba] Folder name "shares"

Hello all,

I started experimenting with Samba (smbd 3.0.20b-3.3-SUSE) on SuSE Linux
10. When accessing my share from Windows XP SP2 I noticed a funny thing.
When copying a folder from Windows to the share, for some reason copying a
folder named "shares" fails. The folder does exist in my Linux homedir,
but either Samba or Windows refuses to show it.

I tried to search mailing lists and FAQ, but I couldn't find anything. Is
this a known issue?
