I just combed through the diff between 3.0.20rc2 and 3.0.20.
I don't see anything that would cause the problem to re-emerge.
Is is possible that you just didn't see it on 3.0.20rc2 because
of network conditions?  And once 3.0.20 was running long enough
the problem popped back up?

I'll try to setup an LPRng server tomorrow and track this down.
