[Samba] Could not find base dn, to get next uidNumber at when joining domain from workstations

Could not find base dn, to get next uidNumber at /usr/local/sbin// 
smbldap_tools.pm line 985, <DATA> line 283.

   _samr_create_user: Running the command `/usr/local/sbin/smbldap- 
useradd -w "test$"' gave 3

I can run the command just fine from the command line. But when I  
attempt to add a machine to the domain from my windows client It  
breaks. Is there someway to
a) Defeat the check and force it to use a stick uid/gid which I can  
change
b) get it to function correctly :)
