[Samba] Can't get username mapping to work

Hello all:

I have Samba 3.0.10-1.4E installed on Redhat Linux 2.6.9, with the clients as WinXP SP2. I have created a list of local users on Linux, and the appropriate Samba users using smbpasswd, I have also added myself to the smbusers file so it won't prompt me to log in when I connect to the share. But it's not working.

Here's smb.conf

[global]
workgroup = MYDOMAINNAME
netbios name = myhostname
security = user
encrypt passwords = yes
username map = /etc/samba/smbusers
local master = no
domain master = false
kernel oplocks = no
oplocks = no
level2 oplocks = no
log level = 5
[tmp]
path = /tmp
read only = no

And /etc/samba/smbusers is (my login on windows and unix are the same):

nwang = nwang

But I'm still asked to log in when I try to connect to the share. If I log in with my samba login/password everything's ok, obviously.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Thank you in advance.
