Ah.  Thanks.  That probably explains how I got a different SID in that one
instance.  I had an older version of Samba running, then when I went to
upgrade to 3.0.20a I move the old /usr/local/samba aside (along with
secrets.tdb) and then installed the new version.  On starting the new
Samba, it probably generated a new SID for me.  I figured it was a PEBKAC.
