Thank you for the quick response! I am aware of those options.
Maybe it would help if I re-phrase the question.
Samba 3.0.20 release notes 
(http://us1.samba.org/samba/history/samba-3.0.20.html) state:

New Winbind IDmap plugin (ad) for retrieving uid and gid
    from AD servers which maintain the SFU user and group 
    attributes.


But no such thing is reflected in the smb.conf man page, and I'm having 
trouble locating details about how to actually use (retrieve) the Unix 
uid, gid, shell and homedir settings from AD+SFU.
