[Samba] Directories and group permissions

I'm sorry... looking at the /etc/fstab file I found this:
/dev/hda6            /software            ext3       acl,user_xattr       
1 2

I guess this means I already have ACL support, right? (Please! Tell me I
do!!)

Now, the question is: where can I find documentation about this and what
I'm trying to do?
