[Samba] enforce password settings by policies

hi,

i hope you can help me:

is there a way to enforce password security (strength, history, ... ) by 
policies on windows 2k/xp ?

gpedit.msc shows me some password settings which i would like to change 
remotely from our samba PDC after logon
