I'm seeing the following errors on my SAMBA printserver in the winbindd log
:

[2005/03/03 14:56:53, 3, pid=3736]
nsswitch/winbindd_user.c:winbindd_getpwuid(225)
  [24610]: getpwuid 10140
[2005/03/03 14:56:53, 3, pid=3736]
nsswitch/winbindd_user.c:winbindd_getpwuid(225)
  [29198]: getpwuid 10266
[2005/03/03 14:56:54, 3, pid=3736]
nsswitch/winbindd_misc.c:winbindd_ping(238)
  [ 6364]: ping
[2005/03/03 14:56:54, 3, pid=3736]
nsswitch/winbindd_pam.c:winbindd_pam_auth_crap(465)
[ 6364]: pam auth crap domain: MPLC user: finchm
[2005/03/03 14:56:54, 3, pid=3736]
nsswitch/winbindd_pam.c:winbindd_pam_auth_crap(556)
  winbindd_pam_auth_crap: sam_logon returned ACCESS_DENIED. Maybe the trust
account password was changed and we didn't know it. Killing connections to
domain MPLC
[2005/03/03 14:56:54, 3, pid=3736]
nsswitch/winbindd_cm.c:cm_get_ipc_userpass(109)
  IPC$ connections done anonymously
[2005/03/03 14:56:54, 3, pid=3736]
nsswitch/winbindd_user.c:winbindd_getpwnam(126)
  [ 6364]: getpwnam mplc+finchm
[2005/03/03 14:56:54, 3, pid=3736]
nsswitch/winbindd_group.c:winbindd_getgroups(1004)
  [ 6364]: getgroups MPLC+finchm

This then seems to trigger (or at least happen just before) the problems I
reported earlier where "Authentication issues causing smbd processes to
stop" the smbd processes had to be stopped and started to get printing to
work again.

Any ideas anyone?

Gordon
