[Samba] Configuring Samba 3.0.10 on Solaris 9 as a Domain Member
Server

Hi,
For one of my clients, I've configured Samba 3.0.10 on Solaris 9 as a Domain
Member Server.
However, users from the Windows side can only establish a Share if they have
a local UserID established on Solaris, otherwise the Share attempt fails.
>From the Solaris side, I can "see" the Windows domain information via the
"wbinfo -g" and "wbinfo -u" commands, however the "getent passwd" and
"getent group" commands only display information from Solaris, no
information from Windows.
The smb.conf file does have ranges for "idmap uid =" and "idmap gid ="
present, and /etc/nsswitch.conf has been updated to include "winbind" for
the "passwd" & "group" entries.
I'm sure there's a simple resolution, and I'd appreciate any help on this.
Regards
Ian Gill
