L.S.

I'm a new member here. I've been using Samba for about 7 years now.
Usually in Win 98/2K environment, but recently also in XP environments
My server basis is either Debian or Ubuntu linux.

Problem:
when someone drags and drops a folder from one location to another
on a windows client, they get an error saying

"this location does not support long filenames"

or

"the filename contains characters not supported by the target"

(since I'm not in vicinity of the offending system I heve to
reproduce error messages from the mind)

When in the same setup, content is copied to clipboard ([CTRL]+[C])
and subsequently pasted ([CTRL]+[V]), the problem does not occur...

Does anyone have a clue?

At first I thought of a codepage issue, but for Samba 3.0.10 neither
SWAT nor the samba.org website shows codepage selection options
in smb.conf
Ubuntu uses nl_NL at UTF-8 environment settings in this case.
