Hi, I have exactly the same situation: # pdbedit -a -u user ...works as expected. However adding a user without explicitly setting "logon script", "logon path" and "logon drive" in USRMGR.EXE ignores the settings in smb.conf and leaves these fields empty in tsbsam.
