Yes, there's a hint of sarcasm there, but if you don't know how it got in,
there's going to be a tough road getting it out.  

More information might help us help you though.  What is your OS?  Do you
stick to your package manager?  Do you like to compile from source?  Do you
run a system like Gentoo where the package manager does compile from source?


It may be as simple as running rpm -e samba or it might be much more
difficult.  Lets get the OS and we'll start there.
