[Samba] Problem receiving network broadcasts

hi everyone: I have a problem receiving network broadcast messages with
samba.  it works if I send directly to the samba machine (net send samba
test), but if I send to the entire domain (net send * test), the samba
machine does not receive the message.  the machine is a member of the
domain...  Any idea why this would be?
