Do you think Samba 3.0.21 has changes relevant to this problem?

I could try to test against the current SAMBA_3_0_RELEASE tree,
but it will take a few days. The installation where I noticed
this problem is located in Germany (about 750km away from my office).
I spent the last two days there installing the new Samba fileserver,
but I'm now back again in Vienna. I do have VPN access to the server,
but executing tests with the Windows NT workstations will require
actions by the people on site.

I also have to keep in mind that the fileserver should go into
production by the end of next week. After that I will only have
limited testing possibilities.

If this problem turns out to be a Samba bug which might get
fixed if we work together with the help of the people on site,
I'm sure we'll find a way to do the required testing, though.
