[Samba] subscriber only, an opinion

Hi, 


first i think subscription is good, but somethings you get overloaded
with emails.. ( example today i got 816 emails ) ( with 8 spam mails )
but this make not the difference.
second subscription is bad, less pleople wil check the mailling list, 
and then less solutions/problems are notised.

so ..
for the bad things.
1) use greylisting, stops about 90% of all spam
2) use virusscanner with spamassassin ( included with dcc,razor,pyzor)
3) do a check on headers. 
4) setup the email server to obay the RFC's for mailing if possible.
5) filter vacation notice out of the mailing.

with this email setup, i use postfix, you can/will stop almost every 
spam email.

i think subscriber or not is not the isseu, i think there is a better 
mail configuration needed.
