[Samba] Can I do this ?

Hi list members,

I am probably barking up the wrong tree here
but wondered if there is an easy way to do this
with Samba or even if its possible ?

I have a single open share directory (777)
and in my config security = share and
public = yes and only guest = yes

This has been working great.

Now I am asked if a single directory can be
password protected or by any other means so
that just one of the users has privacy.

Am I forced to change to security = user
and setup all the users with both unix
and samba usernames and passwords?

I want to avoid that if at all possible
and wondered if there is any way to achieve
the above?
