[Samba] users can't change permissions on samba share

Hi Justin:

I came across your posting, but I can't decipher how you solved the problem.

I have a linux server with files in a networked w2k machine mapped onto the
linux server using SAMBA. The perl files residing on the w2k machine won't
execute and the permissions can't be changed from the linux machine. I've
been strugging with this most of today, and need a solution.

I'd greatly appreciate your help.
