Penny,

First links:  http://www.wlug.org.nz/ActiveDirectorySamba (sorry for the typo 
first time) and

Your krb5.conf file looks incorrect.  Why are so many (important) lines 
commented out?  For example, in the [libdefaults] section, default realm 
should be specified, and it should be in caps.  Also, the info in [realms] is 
incorrect - you should include default domain, kdc (I'd use the ip address of 
the kdc), and admin server (I'd likewise use the ip address).
