I have a strange feeling that you DID forget the password.
% ./mkntpwd not24get

Your sambaLMPassword looks fine (the part before ':') but your 
sambaNTPassword is something different. I would suggest to change 
sambaNTPassword attribute for Administrator's entry to the value mkntpwd 
gives and see if this will fix your problem.
